Cool Idea

I found a little story about this service in the local paper, it's designed to help people who are looking for rides around and off the island.

Let's Get Ready to Gruuuuuumble!

My good buddy Draxenn has been working on a special series of Grumbleduke Cartoons related to a huge cross-over story happening on the Drunk Duck comic hosting website.

As part of the cross-over, different artists are doing drawings of each other characters, one excellent artist has already drawn this totally rad version of The Grumbleduke (from this thread):

Neuromancer

Literally, learning how to upgrade the human mind. Who wouldn't love to upgrade their brain with CopTalk 2.0? (LOL)

Chainmail Bolo Tie

Here's a "little" project that I've been working on this week for a customer who wanted to get a chainmail bolo tie for her father.

Chainmail Bolo Tie with Wrapped Manitoulin Granite

I picked up the stone a couple of years ago from the fine folks at Manitoulin's own Rainbow Lapidary, it's a geniune island stone, sliced and hand polished. It's held in place with a simple clasp, that allows the stone to be fully interchangable and adjustable for asymmetric and symmetric looks..

The chain itself is my own "Fieldstone" pattern, made from 18ga stainless steel links.

I have to work on getting a photograph of it with an actual dress shirt, it looks even more narfy when actually worn.

Artisan Jewelry

Sandra Eileen is a cool Artisan Jewelry designer that scores big points for shrugging off the commercialism of MySpace and having great flower pics on her blog.
